Art
Directed 6 artists and several contractors, interfacing with 3
Producers and Marketing VPs to create the look of a new online graphical
chat world. 56 pieces of “room" art with full animation and 250 Avatar
images were delivered in two months by the team. Directed the asset
creation and pushed most of the creative integration - including sound
effects and web-based content.
Tools Used:
Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D Studio Max 4, GIF Animator, HTML editor, Wav editor.
Created
Room Art, Navigational UI, Avatars, animation, sound and scripting (in
Iptscrae, ThePalace's native language) for ThePalace sites including
clients such as MXG, WWF, CBS, Garbage, Oxygen. As a member of
Communities team, represented the company within the Palace community.
Revised the Practice Palace (new user orientation area), helped create
the Palace Portal, then screened for content, created advertising art
and wrote descriptions for all “Featured Palace” links for the entire
time of its existence, recruiting private sites for Featuring on CC's
web site (leading to 1.5 million click-throughs).
Tools Used:
Photoshop, 3D Studio Max 4, GIF Animator, HTML editor, Wav editor.
Interface
with the contracting firm "Lightsource" ( Frank Scirocco and Gary
Winnick) to develop the look for "Microcosm". Built single screen and
scrolling regions to work out full-motion customizable 2d frame-based
avatars. Contributed to core design meetings concerning UI issues and
Community issues in on-line worlds. "Microcosm" evolved into "Habitats",
a 3D VRML world format. Created half of the test world in low poly
modeling utilizing multiple fixed-camera locations per-region. Created
2d billboard animations with their scripting, helped test and demo the
product. Used a variety of software, from programming to instant
messaging and proprietary.
